Srinagar, March 01 (KNO) : Karwani Islami Chairman Alama Ghulam Rasool Hami Friday said that war leads to only destruction of human life and property worth billions and trillions as nothing else can be achieved by entering into a confrontation as history is witness that by fighting wars no issue has been resolved till now or could be resolved in future. Addressing reports over the prevailing situation in Kashmir in the wake of recent skirmishes and aerial confrontation between the forces of India and Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir, Alama Hami as per a statement issued to KNO said that war bring ultimate miseries, pain and agony on the people of the region where it is fought. “Kashmiri people have suffered over the past three decades on all fronts as hundreds of people were killed in the region and there is a clear cut message to those people who sing war rants in various parts of India and perhaps they have no idea what war leads to,” he said. Alama Hami said that GoI must responds positively to the dialogue offer of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and find ways and means to resolve the vexed dispute of Kashmir. He said it’s high time the two nations start a sustained dialogue to resolve all the pending issues including Kashmir which has been the main reason of tension between the two countries. Alama Hami also strongly condemned the mass crackdown on the religious leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and other religious groups stating that the arrest spree is nothing but a sheer political vendetta and that all those detained by the police be released on priority. He also demanded unconditional release of Kashmir’s political prisoners lodged in various jails of India forthwith.(KNO)
